Australian Police Raid Home Office Of Reported Bitcoin Creator Craig Wright

in search of satoshi nakamoto
Australian police have raided the Sydney home and office of Craig Steven Wright, the man alleged to be bitcoin’s inventor as the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto.
Australian Federal police in Sydney have raided the home and office of Craig Wright who is identified as the creator of #bitcoin. According to The Guardian, more than 10 police personnel arrived in Gordon, a Sydney suburb to raid a home belonging to Craig Wright.  The raid was conducted not long after WIRED and Gizmodo revealed investigations leading the publications to believe they may have discovered bitcoin’s creator.
The Guardian reports two police staff among the ten or more personnel to wear white gloves and were seen searching cupboards and surfaces of the garage from the street.
Despite the timing of the raid, The Australian Federal Police (AFP) claimed in a statement that the raids were unrelated to the recent bitcoin revelations. Instead, the raid was tax-related, according to the Police.
The AFP can confirm it has conducted search warrants to assist the Australian Taxation Office at a residence in Gordon and a business premises in Ryde, Sydney. This matter is unrelated to recent media reporting regarding the digital currency bitcoin.
One officer supposedly told a local Reuters reporter at the scene that they were “clearing” the house.
As revealed by Reuters, a man who claimed to be the owner of the house told the news agency that Wright, his wife and family lived there for a year and were scheduled to vacate the house to move to Britain by the end of December. The landlord, Garry Hayres, also claimed that Wright has attached a “three-phase” power system to supply extra power for the house. This enhanced power setup, one presumes, would come in handy for a mining operation.
