BTCD (Bitcoin Dark)

The BitcoinDark platform has integrated InstantDEX (iDEX), allowing decentralised trading from a range of sources within the client. The current iDEX-enabled wallet is a beta release intended for testing by the community. Feedback and support can be found on the BTCD bitcointalk forum and on the BTCD SuperNET Slack channel.InstantDEX has been in development for over a year, and this is the first time a working version has been released for public use. InstantDEX is decentralised trading middleware: a piece of software that sits between users and exchanges, allowing composite orderbooks to be built up from a number of sources, including traditional centralised exchanges such as Poloniex and Bittrex, the distributed Multigateway, and other decentralised options such as Nxt’s Asset Exchange. Trades are negotiated directly between peers in near-realtime. Nominal flat fees are charged (rather than a percentage of the trade), depending on the transaction fees and the source of liquidity. Integration of InstantDEX is a core element of BitcoinDark’s strategy to recover cryptocurrency’s ideals of decentralisation, allowing any user to trade with minimum risk from centralised exchanges and no requirements for KYC.

Telepathy Technology

Telepathy offers significant advances in privacy by allowing nodes in the network to communicate without knowing the IP address of the recipient. It accomplishes this feat by routing the information through the network to a "dead-drop" address near enough to the intended recipient for them to receive it. Lots of nodes handle it, including one that can read it, but nobody knows which one. In addition the information is end-to-end encrypted so the message could be as simple as "Hi" or it could be a high value transaction.

Teleport Technology

Anonymous teleporting of funds occurs off the blockchain but is verified using the blockchain - utilizing the benefits of a public record without leaking any personal information. BitcoinDark uses an implementation of the Teleport idea to enable trustless private transactions; teleport transmits funds via telepods by transporters. All information needed to spend funds is included in the telepod and sent via the encrypted network to the destination - the telepods are then cloned and passed around to ensure that commerce can be conducted in private.

The above is made possible because all BTCD nodes automatically become a privacyServer: the optimal decentralized solution to the problem of information leakage. The privacyServer sends the encrypted data to the destination - bouncing between jump servers making it impossible to track. This unique system makes BTCD a secure option for private and corporate use.

Privatebet will allow people to make bets directly with each other in a decentralized way. Linux Build: (from Stuntruffle)

To get the basic qt wallet running on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.1:

1) Ctrl+Alt+T to open terminal

2) sudo apt-get update

3) sudo apt-get install curl

4) sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev

5) sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \
   build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
   libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
   libssl-dev libdb++-dev

6) sudo apt-get install git

7) git clone https://github.com/laowais/bitcoindark

8.) cd bitcoindark

9) qmake "USE_UPNP=-"

10) make -j 3 -f Makefile

You should be good to launch the client now if there were no major errors along the way.

11) go to bitcoindark folder and double-click bitcoindark-qt.exe to launch client

12) go to home folder and press Ctrl+H to show hidden files

13) open hidden .Bitcoindark folder in order to access your wallet.dat file

14) create new text file within hidden .Bitcoindark folder and rename it to BitcoinDark.conf

15) copy/paste configuration file from bitcointalk OP into this text file

16) change "user" and "pass" in BitcoinDark.conf file to something unique and save it
