The search within the house of Bitcoin Foundation head Ukraina Michael Chobanian was carried out under the camera flashes. They confiscated an illustrated booklet, "About Bitcoin." The purpose of the search was PR and professional advancement. An advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko was shocked by these events. Michael Chobanian spoke with CoinTelegraph about the operation.
"Unscrupulous militiamen of Ukraine decided to use Bitcoin to make PR-effect and get to CyberPolice. It is a new emerging state agency instead of the militia. Bitcoin is good and popular topic to use it,” sums up Michael Chobanian, who is not only the leader of Bitcoin Foundation Ukraine but the owner of the Bitcoin exchange “Kuna.”

According to Chobanian, he had talked with his senior partners in the government of Ukraine. They developed a relationship with Bitcoin in the country together. They are shocked by what is happening. And they will deal with it.

The Ukraine is starting to get serious about Bitcoin
Tomorrow, this topic will be discussed on the press conference. They invited their representatives of Bitcoin community, representatives of the Banking Association of Ukraine, and the government bodies that develop Bitcoin within the Ukraine. The search of Chobanyan’s property was first reported on his page on Facebook in the night from the 3d to 4th of November 2015.
The search was carried by representatives of the Ministry of Interior to combat cyber crime by the decision of the court "Shenchenkovskiy". The court case lasted a whole year. The existing Bitcoin community is working closely with the National Bank, the banking industry, lawyers, journalists and the public to standardize Bitcoin in Ukraine. They've held several meetings with the heads of departments of the nation’s central bank and are preparing draft regulations, including legislative initiatives that will include Bitcoin provisions and regulations.
